every time you use it.
Healing Touch classes are open to individuals from all walks of life.
Classes are a unique combination of lecture, demonstration and best of all, lots of hands-on practice. Classes are small and students work with each other giving and receiving, making the weekend relaxing, energizing and FUN!
Many students learn HT to use on themselves to improve their own health and well-being. Others use the techniques as a special way to help family or friends. All students receive a certificate of course completion and are encouraged to practice and use the techniques.
Healing Touch is a respected nursing continuing education program founded by Janet Mentgen, RN, and endorsed by the American Holistic Nurses Association. Nurses and massage therapists find HT enhances their professional skills and brings a welcome return of compassion to patient care.
Classes are approved for 16-18 nursing or massage therapy

Level 1 Students learn 10 HT techniques including 3 full-body balancing techniques as well as specific interventions for pain and headache relief. Techniques are practiced in class on either a massage table or in a chair. Students also learn the theory of HT and how the human energy system relates to our health and well-being. It is a weekend of self-care, relaxation and renewal for all who attend.
Level 2 The highlight of this class is learning new techniques to treat back and neck discomfort, and an opening and closing spiral sequence. Students also practice a full HT session and learn how to choose and combine techniques to address specific needs and conditions. After completing Level 2, students may apply to serve as Healing Touch volunteers at Morristown Memorial Hospital.
Level 3 The focus in this advanced class is on the development of the student, and techniques are learned to harness and focus energy. New techniques such as energetic chelation and lymphatic drain are also an exciting part of the weekend.
Levels 4 & 5 These classes prepare students to become Healing Touch Practitioners. Topics discussed are ethics, standards and scope of practice and the role as healing facilitator. Students are guided to select mentors and are encouraged to participate in community projects. Each course is offered at a retreat setting to allow for greater focus on the intense learning and practice.
Certification as a Healing Touch Practitioner ("CHTP") is available through Healing Touch International (HTI), Lakewood, Colorado following completion of coursework and additional requirements. The CHTP credential assures the highest standards of practice and is widely recognized in energy therapy training.
